Hi, I’m John Cooper, a professional handyman and owner of New Life Home Fixes LLC in Knoxville, TN. I help busy homeowners with home repairs and maintenance.

My Story
Before starting this business, I worked for 17 years as a multi-unit supervisor at a quick-service restaurant. I learned a lot about fixing and making minor repairs around the restaurants I ran, and due to the thorough monthly inspections that I was required to conduct on all my restaurants, I developed a keen eye for detail.
After missing out on a lot of my kid’s early years from working long hours as an area supervisor, I decided to try something new. I went to work as a project manager for a small engineering business in Knoxville, TN. I spent 8 years learning manufacturing, from design to implementation.
It was a great experience, and I learned a lot about how things are made and how to think outside the box. However, I eventually realized that an office job was NOT for me. So I started a handyman business to put my home repair skills to use.
My experiences running restaurants and as a project manager has given me a unique skill set that allows me to repair almost anything. I am also a family man with a beautiful wife and three wonderful kids.
